Aviation Bento

We pulled out our stash of Lunch Punches the other day.  My son picked out the airplane cutter for use in his lunch.  Thus, an aviation theme came to fruition.

In this bento:  Ham & cheese on wheat airplane sandwich, star crackers, orange slices, and black olives.

Basic Ballet Box

My daughter recently finished up her first semester of ballet dance class.  The most exciting part for her, of course, was the dance recital!  I made her a quick ballet bento box for the morning after her recital.  Nothing fancy just red, yellow, and pink food with the addition of a ballet slipper cupcake ring.

In this bento:  Rainier cherries, salami, and red & yellow pepper rings.

Pandas with Bamboo

Wow, it's already the 10th of June.  I have not blogged at all this month!  You have probably already guessed that my kids have started summer vacation.  I have been on a little blogging hiatus since summer break began.  I am back now and ready to share more fun bento lunches.  If you missed my posts follow me on Instagram, I post there more often during the summer :)

Today I am posting my Pandas with bamboo bento that I made for this year's Bento & Co contest.  This year the theme was sandwich.  This is what I came up with...

In this bento:  Corn on the cob, roasted asparagus on top of a lettuce leaf with sprouts added to give the bamboo more of a forest feel, panda sandwiches (ham & mozzarella cheese on dark rye bread) on top of a bead of sprouts, strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon flowers.

My panda bento did not make the finalists list, but I still had fun creating & eating it.  I always love to participate in bento competitions!
