Turkey Flower and Crackers

Simple flower-y cracker stacker lunch today.  I made a little flower out of turkey using the Wendolonia method.  You can find directions on how to make these in her book Everyday Bento.

In this bento:  Strawberries, flower shaped watermelon, cauliflower (lightly steamed), baby carrots, flower made with turkey slices, and crackers.

*I found this pink Lego lunchbox at Marshalls on clearance for $3!  It was such a great deal I could not pass it up :)

Z is for Zoo

Finally!!!!!  The last letter of the alphabet.  Z is for zoo :)  That is exactly where we went this weekend.  We saw lots of animals but I think the kids' favorites were the stingrays (since you get to touch them) and the jaguar.  But for this lunch I stuck with the main zoo animal attractions....elephants, giraffe, and lion.

In this lunch:  Penguin cheese crackers, elephant shaped turkey sandwich with candy eyes, "Z" cookie, red and yellow pepper rings, and red & green grapes.

Happy Friday!  It's time to share those lunches you made with leftovers this week.  I made a quick bento and used animal pick accents as a little "sneak peek" as to what we will be doing over this Memorial Day weekend.  Any guesses??

In this bento:  Yellow sweet pepper, baby carrots, red grapes, cantaloupe pieces, dolmas (stuffed grape leaves), and leftover grilled chicken.

*I used only 1 tier of our Monbento Square to pack this bento.

I participated in a little bento challenge over at Wendolonia called 3 tools, 4 lunches.  The idea is to have 4 different bento bloggers make a bento lunch using the same 3 mandatory tools. The required tools for this challenge:  Laptop Lunches bento box, hat / bow bento picks, and bear / bunny egg mold set.  We all have different packing styles, so it is fun to see what everyone comes up with.  Here is the lunch I made.

In this bento:  Red grapes, bear shaped watermelon, bear shaped hard boiled egg, baby carrots, crinkle cut cucumbers, corn on the cob, and a little butter in the green container.

Be sure to check out all four lunches made with the same tools over at Wendolonia.
