Mardi Gras

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday and I wanted to do a Mardi Gras themed bento.  This week is also national pancake week so I made a pancake to use in this bento (two birds with one stone!)

Top Left:  Yellow pepper rings and black olives.
Top Right:  Blood orange wedges and syrup in the green container.
Bottom:  Mask shaped pumpkin pancake, corn and pea mardi gras beads (they are strung on angel hair pasta)
I sooo wanted to try out this technique of stringing vegetables onto pasta and then cooking.  Let me warn you, it is not easy and takes a LOT of TIME! 
*There will be no post tomorrow night due to school cancellation today because of snow.  See you back for Valentine's Day!
