No, we did not go to Disneyland. I did, however, take two children (3 1/2 & 15 months) successfully, by myself, in a car for 8 hours to Los Angeles!!  We visited family and I got to do some serious bento shopping!! Well that is another story and we need to get back to today's bento.  I am joining the bento blog network.  They have weekly bento contests with different themes that they choose.  This weeks theme is vacation.  When I think of vacation I usually think of the beach.  As I thought about this I figured everyone else would be thinking beach.  So I redirected my thoughts more towards kids (since this is a preschool lunch after all).  What do you think of when you think of vacations with kids.....Disneyland or world (depending on your geographic location)!!

Top Box:  Turkey Minnie Mouse with watermelon bow,  Ham Mickey Mouse, tortilla princess crowns in a bow cup, sugar snap peas, and yellow bell pepper Disney.

Bottom Box:  Mandarin oranges with bell pepper land, Mickey Mouse cup of blueberries (this is actually a bear head shape, but close enough), olives in corner blue cup, and last but not least.....my big creation.....the iconic Disney castle logo.
***I had decided i wanted to use the Disney castle, but thought this would be hard to pull off.  To my delight it really was not.  I used a template I made and dug out the old pumpkin carving set.  Worked like a charm.  It was pretty quick and easy.  What a relief. :-)
